Cijin Junior High School was founded in 1964 as "Municipal Tenth Junior High School," taking its current name in 1968. In 1985, a land transfer expanded the campus to roughly 50,057 square meters, and in 2001 the school opened Taiwan's first HACCP-certified school kitchen. It also fields a karate team.
旗津國民中學創校於民國53年(1964年),初名「市立第十初級中學」,民國57年(1968年)更名為旗津國中。民國74年(1985年)透過土地撥用擴大校地至約50,057平方公尺,並於民國90年(2001年)設立全台第一座通過HACCP認證的學校廚房,校內亦設有空手道隊。
