Chiaoyong Elementary School

Chiaoyong Elementary School sits just inside Hengchun's historic West Gate, within the old walled town that anchors Taiwan's southernmost major community. The school describes its own history as spanning roughly six decades. Its most visible recent milestone is a new three-story, 34-classroom campus building completed in September 2021 after a two-and-a-half-year construction project costing NT$144.06 million — and its design deliberately incorporates the moon guitar (月琴), the traditional instrument at the heart of Hengchun's folk-ballad heritage.

僑勇國小座落於恆春古城西門內側，位於台灣最南端聚落的古城牆範圍內。學校自述已有約一甲子的歷史。近年最顯著的里程碑，是一棟耗資新台幣1億4,406萬元、歷時兩年半（民國108年2月至110年9月）興建完成的三層樓新校舍，共34間教室，其設計特別融入了恆春民謠傳統核心樂器——月琴的意象。
