Qiao'ai Elementary began in August 1957 as “Bade School Qiao'ai Branch” (renamed Yuanshulin Public School Qiao'ai Branch the same year), becoming independent in August 1959 as Qiao'ai Public School. The land for the school was donated by local gentry in October 1957, and the new school building was completed in June 1958. The school is listed in Taiwan's Indigenous Peoples reference encyclopedia, reflecting a notable Indigenous-student community.

僑愛國小於1957年(民國46年)8月設立為「八德國校僑愛分校」,同年改隸為員樹林國民學校僑愛分校,1959年(民國48年)8月獨立設校,定名為僑愛國民學校。校地由地方仕紳於1957年10月捐贈,新校舍於1958年6月落成。學校亦收錄於臺灣原住民族百科全書,顯示校內有一定規模的原住民學生族群。
