⚔️ A Name From a Military Garrison
前鋒鎮右營的地名由來
The neighborhood name Qianfeng (前峰) derives from a Ming-Zheng era military-agricultural garrison, the "Right Battalion of the Vanguard Garrison" (前鋒鎮右營); the character 鋒 was later changed to 峰 for numerological reasons.
A neighborhood named for soldier-farmers.
The Qianfeng (前峰) neighborhood takes its name from a Ming-Zheng era military-agricultural garrison once stationed here, originally written 前鋒 ("vanguard"); the second character was later changed to 峰 ("peak") for numerological reasons. See the Kaohsiung county page for more on the region.
