Shigang Elementary traces its origins to April 1, 1920, when it opened as the "Shigang Branch Teaching Site." It became an independent public school in 1924 and was renamed Shigang Elementary in 1968. An attached kindergarten was established in 1981 and formally integrated in 1989. The school is known today for its lion-dance team, part of its Taiwanese-culture and martial-arts programs.
史港國小校史可溯及民國9年(1920年)4月1日創立的「史港分教場」,1924年獨立設校,1968年更名為史港國小。附設幼兒園於1981年設立,1989年正式整併。學校現以舞獅隊聞名,是其台灣文化與武術課程的重要一環。
