Puli Elementary was founded on October 1, 1898, as "Puli-she Public School," making it one of Nantou County's oldest schools at over 125 years old. The school relocated to its present campus on August 16, 1935. All of its buildings were destroyed in the catastrophic 1999 921 earthquake, and a new campus was completed by 2002. Today Puli Elementary is the town's oldest and largest elementary school, with around 46 classes and roughly 1,100 students, plus an attached kindergarten.
埔里國小創立於明治31年(1898年)10月1日,初名「埔里社公學校」,是南投縣歷史逾125年的老校之一。學校於1935年8月16日遷至現址。全校校舍於1999年921大地震中全毀,新校園於2002年完工啟用。現為埔里鎮歷史最悠久、規模最大的國小,約46班、學生約1,100人,並附設幼兒園。
