Wulong Elementary School

Wulong Elementary began in 1927, during the Japanese colonial era, as a branch of Xinyuan Public School, becoming independent in 1933 as "Kaohsiung Prefecture Public Wulong Public School." Following Taiwan's 1945 retrocession, it was renamed Kaohsiung County Xinyuan Township Wulong National School, and then Pingtung County Xinyuan Township Wulong National School in 1950 after county reorganization. Today, with 12 classes and 222 students, it is one of the larger schools among the schools of this area, anchoring the farming community of Nanlong Village on the Gaoping River floodplain. It also has an attached kindergarten offering childcare and developmental programs Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

烏龍國小創立於1927年（昭和2年）日治時期，初為新園公學校分校，1933年（昭和8年）獨立設校，稱「高雄州立烏龍公學校」。1945年台灣光復後，改為高雄縣新園鄉烏龍國民學校，1950年（民國39年）行政區劃調整後，改為屏東縣新園鄉烏龍國民學校。目前全校共有12個班級、222名學生，是本區規模較大的學校之一，扎根於高屏溪氾濫平原上的南龍村農業聚落。學校也附設幼兒園，週一至週五上午7點至下午5點提供托育與發展課程。
