A school at the administrative heart of Shizi.

Fenglin Elementary School traces its roots to 1924, during the Japanese colonial era, when its predecessor institution relocated and became the “Maple (Fenglin) Education Institute.” It was renamed Fenglin National School in 1946 after Taiwan's retrocession, and took its present name, Fenglin Elementary School, in 1968. The school and its surrounding village — Shizi Township's main administrative hub — are noted for Paiwan cultural motifs including pottery jars (陶壺), painted murals, and human-figure patterns (人形紋), distinctive artistic markers of the Fenglin tribal area.
