Pinghe Elementary School

Pinghe Elementary is a small rural school of about six classes and just under fifty students, sitting at the base of Liyu Mountain overlooking Liyu Lake. Despite its size, the school serves a genuinely multi-ethnic community of Hoklo, Hakka, Indigenous, and new immigrant families, and offers a surprisingly full slate of extracurricular activities — including taekwondo, a puppet-theater club, a baseball team, and an inline skating team.

平和國小是一所約六班、學生不到五十人的鄉村小校，座落於鯉魚山腳下，俯瞰鯉魚潭。儘管規模不大，學校服務的社區卻相當多元，涵蓋閩南、客家、原住民與新住民家庭，並提供意外豐富的課外活動，包括跆拳道、布袋戲社、棒球隊與直排輪隊。
