National Pingtung Girls' Senior High School was founded in 1932, during the Japanese colonial era, when Pingtung was developing as the administrative seat of the region. Today the school enrolls roughly 1,984 students across 48 classes, with regular, math-science honors (established 2003), and language honors (established 2005) tracks reserved for female students, while its music program, established in 1993, is coeducational. The school has been led since August 2020 by principal Yang Rongfeng.
國立屏東女子高級中學創校於昭和7年（1932年）日治時期，當時屏東正發展為地區行政中心。現有學生約1,984人，共48班。普通科、數理資優班（2003年設立）與語文資優班（2005年設立）皆僅招收女學生，而音樂班（1993年設立）則為男女兼收。現任校長楊榮豐自2020年8月上任。
