National Taipei University of Technology

National Taipei University of Technology, widely known as Taipei Tech, was founded on July 5, 1912, under Japanese colonial rule as the Auxiliary Industrial Institute, opening in Taipei Prefecture's Ta-an Precinct with three departments — Woodcraft, Metalwork, and Electrical Engineering. It marked the beginning of formal industrial and vocational education in Taiwan. The school was renamed Provincial Taipei Institute of Technology in 1948, offering five-year associate-degree programs, and was finally promoted to full university status in 1997 as National Taipei University of Technology. Today it is Taiwan's oldest and one of its most prominent technological universities, concentrated in technology, design, and management.

國立臺北科技大學（通稱北科大）創立於1912年7月5日，日治時期名為「工業講習所」，設於台北廳大安支廳，初設木工、金工、電工三科，開啟台灣正式工業與職業教育的先河。1948年改制為「省立台北工業專科學校」，開設五年制專科課程，1997年正式升格為大學，定名國立臺北科技大學。如今北科大是台灣歷史最悠久、最具代表性的科技大學之一，專長領域集中於科技、設計與管理。
