One of the original schools of a planned garden city.
Guanghua Elementary School was established in 1957 (ROC 46), alongside the founding of Chung-Hsing New Village — the planned garden city built as the Taiwan Provincial Government's relocated seat. Along with Guangrong Elementary, it was one of the two original schools built to serve the families who moved into the new village. Over more than 60 years, Guanghua has built a documented record of achievement in athletics, music, and the arts, and today runs a gifted education program and a resource classroom for students with special needs, alongside international education initiatives.
