Nine decades of agricultural and industrial education.
National Neipu Senior Agricultural-Industrial Vocational High School traces its origins to 1934, when it opened as the "Takao Prefecture Puqiangshan Agricultural Lecture Institute" under Japanese colonial rule. It was renamed the Pingtung County Pingshan Agricultural Vocational School in 1961, and today offers a wide range of departments — including Farm Management, Agricultural Machinery, Food Processing, Wildlife Conservation, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive, Electrical Engineering, and Home Economics — across an 11.97-hectare campus. The school is officially designated a Taiwan Indigenous Focus School, reflecting Neipu's mixed Hakka and Indigenous student population.

Rooted in Neipu's agricultural heritage.
As one of the oldest vocational institutions in the Liudui Hakka region, this school embodies Neipu Township's deep agricultural heritage of rice and tobacco farming, and its student body reflects the township's mixed Hakka and Indigenous population. Neipu is the "Hou Dui" (後堆, Rear Pile) of the Liudui confederation and home to National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, making the township a longtime center of agricultural learning in southern Taiwan. See the Pingtung county page for more on the region.
