National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology

National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology was formed on February 1, 2018, through the merger of three older institutions: National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology, National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences, and National Kaohsiung Marine University. The merger brought together their combined strengths and campuses, and NKUST now operates across five campuses spanning Yanchao, Nanzih, Sanmin (Jiangong), and Cijin. Its College of Maritime and College of Hydrosphere Science carry forward the heritage of the former marine university, reflecting Kaohsiung's identity as Taiwan's largest port.

國立高雄科技大學於民國107年（2018年）2月1日由三所學校合併而成：國立高雄第一科技大學、國立高雄應用科技大學、國立高雄海洋科技大學。合併後整合了三校原有的優勢與校區，目前橫跨燕巢、楠梓、三民（建工）、旗津共五個校區。其海事學院與水圈科學學院延續了原高雄海洋科技大學的傳統，呼應高雄作為台灣最大港口城市的產業特色。
