Nanzih Junior High traces its roots to August 1955, when it was established as the "Kaohsiung Municipal Middle School Nanzih Joint Branch," part of Cold War-era air-defense evacuation planning that dispersed schools out of the urban core. With the implementation of nine-year compulsory education in August 1968, it took on its current name, Nanzih Junior High. The school's educational philosophy emphasizes "diverse development and continuous progress," alongside cultivating students' everyday manners and discipline.
楠梓國中創校於民國44年（1955年）8月，因應防空疏散政策而設立「高雄市立中學楠梓聯合分校」。民國57年（1968年）8月九年國教實施後，正式定名為楠梓國中。學校教育理念強調「多元發展、不斷進步」，並重視學生日常禮儀規範的培養。
