Nanxin Junior High School

Nanxin Junior High was founded August 6, 1956, as a branch of Yanshui Junior High School — known as 'Yanshui Junior High Xinying Branch' — under first head Gao Zong-ren, becoming fully independent in 1959 as 'Tainan County Nanxin Junior High School.' Its fine-arts talent class, running since 1983, has produced over 30 graduating cohorts and numerous professional artists. The school also runs music-talent and physical-education talent classes, a special-education program, and hosts one of Tainan's seven Technology Self-Making Education Centers.

南新國中創立於民國45年（1956年）8月6日，前身為鹽水中學新營分部，首任主任為高宗仁，民國48年（1959年）獨立設校為台南縣立南新國中。學校美術藝才班自民國72年（1983年）開班以來已產出逾30屆畢業生及多位專業藝術家。學校同時設有音樂藝才班、體育藝才班與特教班，並設有台南七大「科技自造教育中心」之一。
