Tainan Municipal Nanxi Junior High School

Nanxi Junior High School was established on August 1, 1968 as “Tainan County Nanxi Junior High School.” Preparations began two years earlier in 1966, when Yujing Junior High teacher Yang Ling-guo was appointed preparatory director; the school's first principal was Wang Mao-de. Over more than five decades, the school has graduated over 37 cohorts and roughly 8,100 alumni, many of whom have gone on to graduate study, with several alumni holding master's or doctoral degrees. Today it runs Taiwan Mother Language Day programming and a health-promotion program, and its school meals use only domestically sourced pork and beef.

楠西國中創校於民國57年（1968年）8月1日，初名「台南縣立楠西國民中學」。籌備工作始於民國55年（1966年），由玉井國中教師楊鈴國奉派為籌備主任，首任校長為王茂德。逾五十餘年來，學校已培育37屆以上、約8,100位校友，其中不少人繼續攻讀研究所，並有多位校友取得碩士、博士學位。學校現辦理台灣母語日活動與健康促進計畫，校園午餐全面採用國產豬肉與牛肉。
