National Nanke International Experimental High School

National Nanke International Experimental High School grew out of preparatory offices for a Nanke junior high, set up in 1997, and an elementary school, set up in 1998, both established to serve the children of Southern Taiwan Science Park workers and foreign tech professionals. The two merged and upgraded on August 1, 2006, into the current “National Nanke International Experimental High School,” with a senior-high division added starting the 2008-09 academic year. Dr. Dai Xuzhang (戴旭璋) served as the first principal after the 2006 upgrade. The school is a four-division “complete school” — elementary, junior high, senior high, plus international programs — located inside the Southern Taiwan Science Park itself, on Xilaya Boulevard (西拉雅大道), a street name honoring the region's Siraya indigenous heritage.

國立南科國際實驗高級中學前身為分別於民國86年（1997年）與87年（1998年）成立的南科國中、國小籌備處，設立宗旨是服務南部科學園區科技從業人員及外籍員工子女的教育需求。民國95年（2006年）8月1日，兩校合併升格為現今的「國立南科國際實驗高級中學」，並自97學年度（2008-09年）起增設高中部。升格後首任校長為戴旭璋博士。學校是集小學、國中、高中及國際課程於一體的「完全學校」，校址位於南部科學園區內的西拉雅大道上——街名正是向當地西拉雅原住民文化致敬。
