Nangang Vocational High School

Nangang Vocational High School was established on May 20, 1978, after a preparatory office was set up the previous year under founding principal Yang Chi-tung, driven by the city's Third Economic Construction Plan and its need for industrial technicians. It opened with six vocational departments — heavy machinery repair, mold-making, foundry, instrumentation, piping, and construction — across 12 classes. It was the third municipal vocational high school established in Taipei City and remains the only one with on-campus student dormitories. The roughly 9-hectare campus now sits directly adjacent to the Nangang Software Park.

南港高工於民國67年（1978年）5月20日創校，前一年（民國66年）由首任校長楊其棟成立籌備處，設校源於台北市第三期經濟建設計畫對工業技術人才的需求。創校之初設有重機、模具、鑄造、儀電、配管、營建六科，共12班。南港高工是台北市第三所市立高工，也是市內唯一設有學生宿舍的市立高工。占地約9公頃的校園，如今直接與南港軟體園區為鄰。
