NUTN Affiliated Experimental Elementary School

NUTN Affiliated Experimental Elementary School — known locally as Nan-Da Fu-Xiao (南大附小) — traces its origin to May 21, 1896, when it was approved as the "Taiwan Governor-General's Tainan Japanese-Language Institute." Classes began that September, held inside the Tainan Confucius Temple, making this widely cited as the earliest school offering modern-style education in Tainan. Reorganized as "Tainan First Public School" in 1898, the school moved to its present Shulin Street site in 1916–17 after temple renovations displaced it, and was formally designated an affiliated school of Tainan Normal School in the late 1920s. Its name changed repeatedly as its parent teacher-training institution was upgraded over the decades, arriving at its current name in 2004 following the university's elevation to National University of Tainan.

國立臺南大學附設實驗國小（在地俗稱「南大附小」）校史源自1896年（明治29年）5月21日獲准設立的「臺灣總督府臺南國語傳習所」，同年9月開課，最初課程即在臺南孔廟內進行，普遍被認為是台南最早的現代式學校。1898年改制為「臺南第一公學校」，1916至1917年因孔廟整修遷至現今樹林街校址，1920年代末正式成為臺南師範學校的附屬學校。其後隨著上級師範院校歷次升格，校名也多次更迭，直到2004年臺南大學升格改制後，正式定名為現今的「國立臺南大學附設實驗國小」。
