Dahu Elementary opened in 1911, during the Japanese colonial era, as "Dahu Public School." Today the school's catchment covers Danan, Dahu, Daliao, Minghu, Fuxing, and Jinghu villages, making it a central institution at the historic and geographic heart of Taiwan's famous strawberry-growing region.
