Minsyong Junior High School

Minsyong Junior High dates to around 1963, inferred from a 60th-anniversary celebration held in 2023. As the township's main junior high, it sits close to Minsyong's town center, which has grown around the presence of National Chung Cheng University and National Chiayi University's Minsyong campus, giving the school relatively strong local cultural and educational resources for a rural township. The school offers arts-talent classes in both music and dance, fields a diverse athletic program that includes a canoe/kayak team, marching band and flag corps, track and field, and wrestling, and hosts a first-floor community reading station open to local residents. Students have recently earned honors in the National Student Dance Competition and calligraphy competitions.

民雄國中創校約在民國52年（1963年），推估自2023年舉辦的60週年校慶。作為民雄鄉的主要國中，校址鄰近鄉內市中心，該區因國立中正大學與國立嘉義大學民雄校區進駐而發展蓬勃，使學校得以享有相對豐富的在地文教資源。學校設有音樂與舞蹈藝術才能班，體育項目多元，包括輕艇隊、樂旗隊、田徑隊及角力隊，並在一樓設有對外開放的社區共讀站。學生近年在全國學生舞蹈競賽及書法比賽中屢獲佳績。
