Mingren Junior High School was founded in 1969 in the heart of Miaoli City, just a three-minute walk from Maoli Mountain Park. The school is well known for its art-talent program, established in 1995, which today serves about 78 students across grades 7 through 9. Five specialist art teachers guide students through sketching, watercolor, ink painting, design, and printmaking, giving Mingren a distinct identity among Miaoli's junior highs.
