Xinjie Elementary School was founded around 1922 and celebrated its 100th anniversary in March 2022, having educated roughly 7,699 alumni over the century. At the centennial celebration, the school unveiled a mobile-learning classroom, continuing its tradition of embracing new teaching tools. Shortly before the centennial, the school's baseball team won the national Chinatrust Cup little-league championship, a standout achievement for a century-old village school.
新街國小創校於大正11年（約1922年），並於2022年3月舉辦建校百年校慶，百年來培育近7,699位校友。校慶當日學校啟用行動學習教室，延續擁抱新教學工具的傳統。就在百年校慶前不久，該校棒球隊榮獲全國中信盃少棒錦標賽冠軍，對一所百年村校而言是相當亮眼的成就。
