Minde Junior High School was founded in August 1968, per the Tainan City Education Bureau's official school directory. In 1986 the school established an art-focused class (美術班), giving students a dedicated track for visual-arts education. Minde is also known for its youth baseball team, which was reorganized in 1996 under alumnus and booster Wang Qing-yuan and then-principal Chen Hai-xiong after an earlier hiatus, restoring a long-running school tradition.
民德國中依臺南市教育局官方學校名錄，創立於1968年（民國57年）8月。1986年（民國75年）設立美術班，提供學生專屬的美術教育管道。民德國中也以少棒隊聞名，1996年（民國85年）在校友暨後援會長王慶元與時任校長陳海雄的推動下，中斷一段時間後重新整隊，延續學校悠久的棒球傳統。
