Xinying Elementary School

Xinying Elementary was founded in 1964 in the hilly Nanshi area on the edge of Miaoli City. Its lush, forested campus has earned it the local nickname "forest elementary school" (森林小學). In 2013, Xinying became the first elementary school in Taiwan to join the Hope Foundation's "Shennong Project," a food-and-farming education initiative that connects classroom learning to hands-on agriculture. The school is also known locally for a notable student baseball team.

新英國小創校於1964年（民國53年），座落於苗栗市邊緣、地勢丘陵起伏的南勢地區。校園林木蒼鬱，因而有「森林小學」的美稱。2013年，新英國小成為台灣第一所加入「財團法人博幼基金會」（Hope Foundation）「神農計畫」食農教育推廣計畫的國小，將課堂學習與實際農耕體驗緊密結合。學校的學生棒球隊在地方上也頗具知名度。
