Chiwen Elementary School serves students in Fuxing Village in the heart of Miaoli City. While the founding year of the elementary school itself is not documented, its attached kindergarten was established in 1980. The school has been designated a Hakka-language feature school, and offers a notably active roster of extracurricular programs: a children's marching band, a percussion band, an English club, a film-appreciation club, and Hakka singing performances.
