Meiho Senior High School

Meiho Senior High School was founded in 1961 by Dr. Hsu Pang-hsing, a Hakka-descended surgeon of the "Hsu Surgical Hospital," whose board of directors approved the school's establishment that July, with formal licensing following in August and an opening class of 300 students in six classes that fall. A comprehensive school spanning junior high, academic senior high, and vocational divisions, Meiho added an Electronics Department to its vocational track in 1978 under its third principal, Liu De-ming. The school is best known nationally for its baseball program, established in 1970, which has won multiple world youth baseball championships and helped make Meiho a household name across Taiwan.

美和高級中學創立於民國50年（1961年），由客家籍外科醫師徐傍興（「徐外科醫院」院長）創辦，董事會於當年7月10日通過設校，8月10日正式立案，同年秋季招收新生300人、共6班。學校為兼具國中、高中普通科與職業類科的完全中學，民國67年（1978年）在第三任校長劉德明任內增設電子科。美和最為全國熟知的，是創立於民國59年（1970年）的棒球隊，屢獲世界青棒錦標賽冠軍，使美和成為家喻戶曉的名字。
