Masai Elementary was founded in 1914 during the Japanese colonial era as a branch of Lize Public School, known then as "Lize Public School Masai Branch," before later being formally established as "Masai Public School." Originally serving students from five hamlets, it has grown into the largest elementary school in Su'ao Township today. The campus sits at the southern end of the Lanyang Plain, backed by mountains and facing the sea.
