Luzhu Senior High School was established in 1952 as a branch campus of the Taiwan Provincial Gangshan Middle School (臺灣省立岡山中學路竹分部), later becoming an independent secondary school serving Lujhu District. Today it operates as a complete school spanning both junior and senior high grades, and takes part in Kaohsiung's "High School Quality Enhancement" program aimed at raising instructional standards across the city. Its varsity athletic program fields teams in soccer, korfball, boxing, and weightlifting.
路竹高中創立於民國41年（1952年），最初為「臺灣省立岡山中學路竹分部」，後獨立設校，服務路竹地區學子。學校現為兼辦國中部與高中部的完全中學，並參與高雄市「高中優質化」計畫，致力於提升全市教學品質。校內運動代表隊涵蓋足球、合球、拳擊與舉重等項目。
