Luzhu Elementary began in August 1946 as "Dazhu Elementary's Luzhu Satellite Classroom," created specifically to solve a transportation problem: local children previously had to walk roughly 4 km to reach Dazhu Elementary School. It opened with just over 40 students meeting in a borrowed assembly hall, became independent as "Luzhu Elementary School" in August 1951, and was formally renamed "Taoyuan County Luzhu Township Luzhu Elementary School" in September 1968. The school was designated a nutrition-education model school in 1961, built an all-concrete campus in 1979, added an attached kindergarten in August 2015, and adopted the 12-year "108 Curriculum" in August 2019.
蘆竹國小於民國35年（1946年）8月創立，初名「大竹國民學校蘆竹分離教室」，設立目的是解決當地學童需步行約4公里才能抵達大竹國小上學的交通問題。創校初期僅40餘名學生，借用集會所上課，民國40年（1951年）8月獨立設校，定名「蘆竹國民小學」，民國57年（1968年）9月正式更名為「桃園縣蘆竹鄉蘆竹國民小學」。學校於民國50年（1961年）獲選為營養教育示範學校，民國68年（1979年）興建全鋼筋混凝土校舍，民國104年（2015年）8月增設附設幼兒園，民國108年（2019年）8月起實施十二年國教「108課綱」。
