From girls' vocational school to comprehensive high school.
National Lo-Tung Senior High traces its roots to 1944, when it opened during the Japanese colonial era as the "Luodong Agricultural Practice Girls School." Over the following decades it was reorganized several times — becoming a home economics school, then a junior high, then a complete middle school, and finally a provincial and, in 2000, national senior high school. Today it offers science, humanities and social sciences, bilingual, math/IT, physical education, and music tracks, making it one of the most comprehensive secondary schools in Yilan County.
