Longxing Elementary School

Longxing Elementary was approved by the county government in 1996, with first principal Hu Jin-song — transferred from Shuimei Elementary School — taking office that August. The school opened for instruction on August 1, 1999, absorbing second-through-sixth-grade students transferred from both Longtan Elementary and Wuhan Elementary — about 1,297 students across 36 regular classes plus one special-education class, an unusually large founding enrollment for a brand-new school. Its new campus construction was completed with a formal dedication ceremony in January 2000.

龍星國小於民國85年（1996年）獲縣府核准設校，首任校長胡進松（由水尾國小轉任）於同年8月到任。學校於民國88年（1999年）8月1日正式招生，並自龍潭國小與武漢國小轉入二至六年級學生，開學即有約1,297名學生、36個普通班加1個特教班，創校規模在新設校中相當罕見。新校舍工程於民國89年（2000年）1月舉行落成典禮。
