About · 學校簡介

The oldest of Guishan Elementary's branches.

Longshou Elementary began as the 'Taliaokeng teaching station' (塔寮坑分教場) of Guishan Elementary, established on April 1, 1943, during the Japanese colonial era. It became an independent school under Hsinchu County on September 1, 1946, as 'Longshou National School.' It is considered the oldest of the branch schools spun off from Guishan Elementary, and its original catchment covered not only Longshou Village but also today's Longhua and Huilong villages. In 1978, the school established a notably distinctive yangqin (hammered dulcimer) ensemble program.
