Built around a preserved historic residence.

Longmen Junior High opened in August 2004 under its first principal, Dai Xue-qing, but planning for the school actually dated back to 1988 — construction was delayed for over a decade by land-acquisition disputes involving military authorities and NTNU faculty-housing residents. The finished campus, covering about 34,613 square meters and enrolling roughly 1,500 students, was deliberately designed to preserve the “Long-an-po Huang Residence” (龍安坡黃宅濂讓居), a historic house designated a Taipei city monument in 1999, within the school grounds.
