Longhua Elementary School was established in 1978 to relieve overcrowding at Shiquan Elementary School and ease the daily commute for children in the Longzi Li and Aozihdi areas. The school completed a new campus on June 1, 2009. Today it serves the Aozihdi area, one of Kaohsiung's major redeveloped commercial and residential districts.
龍華國小創立於民國67年（1978年），設校目的是為了紓解石泉國小的擁擠情況，並縮短龍子里、凹仔底地區學童的通勤距離。學校於2009年6月1日完工啟用新校舍。如今學校服務凹仔底地區，這裡是高雄重要的商住重劃區之一。
