A hundred years of agricultural education.
Longdu Elementary School traces its roots to 1920, when it opened as a branch of Meinong Public School known as Longdu Branch. It became an independent school, Longdu Public School, around 1923. In 1928, the school added a two-year agricultural continuing school; that program later moved to Qishan in 1935, eventually becoming Qishan Practical Agricultural School. With more than 100 years of history, Longdu Elementary is known today for its own food and agriculture education, including a rice production-traceability certification earned in 2024.
龍肚國小校史可追溯至1920年（大正9年），最初為美濃公學校龍肚分校，約於1923年獨立設校為「龍肚公學校」。1928年，學校附設兩年制農業補習學校，該課程於1935年遷至旗山，後來發展為旗山實踐農業學校。擁有百年以上歷史的龍肚國小，如今以食農教育聞名，並於2024年取得稻米產銷履歷驗證。
