Liuying Junior High School

Liuying Junior High was founded in 1968 as part of Taiwan's rollout of nine-year compulsory education. Former Yanshui Junior High principal Lin Hui oversaw the founding work, and the campus site was chosen between Taikang and Dongsheng villages. When the first new-student orientation was held that September, the school buildings were still unfinished, so the event had to be held on loan at the Dongsheng Village community hall. Today the school runs bilingual-education teaching communities with public observation lessons for teachers, alongside a dual-track vocational partnership program with technical high schools.

柳營國中創校於民國57年（1968年），是九年國民義務教育推行下設立的學校。籌備工作由前鹽水國中校長林煇主持，校地選定於太康、東昇兩里之間。同年9月舉辦第一屆新生訓練時，校舍尚未完工，只能商借東昇村中山堂舉行。如今學校推動雙語教育教學社群，並辦理公開觀課，同時與技術型高中合作雙軌並進的技職試探課程。
