Liujia Junior High School

Liujia Junior High School was founded on April 1, 1964, as a branch of Chiayi County's Yushan Middle School, temporarily housed at Suantou Elementary School before becoming independent that same year as Chiayi County Liujia Junior Middle School at its current site. It became Liujia Junior High School in July 1968 under Taiwan's nine-year compulsory education reform. The school maintains prominent harmonica and wind orchestras with county and national competition awards, fields competitive football and bocce (滾球) teams, and runs a strong environmental education curriculum alongside a comprehensive reading-literacy initiative.

六嘉國中創立於民國53年（1964年）4月1日，最初為嘉義縣立玉山中學分校，暫借蒜頭國小校舍上課，同年即獨立設校為嘉義縣立六嘉初級中學，落腳現址。民國57年（1968年）7月九年國教實施後改稱六嘉國民中學。學校擁有知名的口琴與管樂團隊，屢獲縣級及全國性競賽獎項，並組有具競爭力的足球與滾球隊，同時推動扎實的環境教育課程與全面性的閱讀素養計畫。
