Zhubei's very first school.
Liujia Elementary was approved in December 1906 and opened in August 1907 as "Lucchang Public School," making it the oldest school in what is now Zhubei City. Its original campus was destroyed by flooding in 1917 and had to be relocated. The school was renamed multiple times through the decades, finally reaching its current administrative name in 1988 — the same year Zhubei changed from a rural township to city status.
