Liugou Elementary was founded on February 1, 1946, and celebrated its 80th anniversary in the 2025–26 school year. It maintains a branch campus at Diexi, established in 1968, extending its reach across Xikou Township's scattered farming villages. The school runs a bilingual education month and immersive local-language teaching, fields a football team and art-talent classes, and its students have recently won recognition in calligraphy, painting, reading comprehension, English self-study, and roller skating.
柳溝國小創立於民國35年（1946年）2月1日，於114學年度（2025/2026年）舉辦八十週年校慶。學校設有疊溪分校（民國57年/1968年設立），服務溪口鄉分散各處的農村聚落。校內推動雙語月、母語沉浸式教學，並設有足球隊與藝術才藝班，學生近期在書法、繪畫、閱讀理解、英語自學與直排輪等競賽中屢獲佳績。
