Profile

Over 120 years on the site of a historic hamlet.

Chenggong Elementary was founded on April 1, 1904, during the Japanese colonial era, as the Lingyaliao Branch of Takao Public School Over more than 120 years of continuous history, the school has remained on the original site of the historic Lingyaliao hamlet — the very settlement that gave Lingya District its name. Chenggong Elementary shares this founding root with nearby Lingzhou Elementary School: the two schools trace back to the same 1904 branch before splitting into separate campuses in 1937, making them historical "sibling" institutions rather than unrelated schools.
