Linfeng Elementary School

Linfeng Elementary was founded in May 1919 (Taisho 8), and has celebrated over a century of history. It sits in Linfengying (林鳳營), a settlement whose name derives from a Ming-loyalist military farm-colony (屯田) associated with the Koxinga era — one of the settlements established during the land reclamation that Chen Yonghua directed across Liujia. Today, though, the school is nationally known for something else: its diabolo (Chinese yo-yo) team, founded in August 1986 (民國75年), which has earned the nickname "Diabolo Kingdom" (扯鈴王國) and maintains a diabolo archive/museum said to be the only one of its kind in Taiwan.

林鳳國小創校於大正8年（1919年）5月，至今已逾百年校史。學校座落於「林鳳營」聚落，其地名源自明鄭時期屯田武裝據點——正是陳永華主導六甲地區土地開墾時所建立的屯田聚落之一。然而如今學校最為人熟知的，是民國75年（1986年）8月成立的扯鈴隊，屢屢在賽事中表現亮眼，贏得「扯鈴王國」美譽，校內並設有據稱全台唯一的扯鈴文物館。
