Liming Elementary School

Liming Elementary was founded in 1921, during the Japanese colonial era, as "Zhuang'er Public School" (壯二公學校), a branch of Yilan Public School. It was renamed Yilan City East National School in 1940, then Liming National School after the war, before adopting its current name in 1968. The school celebrated its 100th anniversary and has since grown into Yilan City's largest school by enrollment, with 51 classes and about 1,500 students — the only elementary school serving the city's East District. Its campus includes a temperature-controlled, heated swimming pool.

黎明國小創立於1921年（日治時期），初名「壯二公學校」，為宜蘭公學校的分校。1940年更名為宜蘭市東國民學校，戰後改為黎明國民學校，1968年始定名為現名。學校已慶祝建校百周年校慶，如今已成長為宜蘭市在學人數最多的學校，共51班、約1,500名學生，也是東門地區唯一的一所國小。校園設有溫控暖水游泳池。
