From a temple's classrooms to an independent school.
Leshan Elementary began as the 'Leshan branch school' (樂善分校) of Dagang Elementary — then known as 'Taoyuan County Dagang National School' — with its earliest classes held inside Leshan Temple (樂善寺). It became an independent school in 1969, taking its name from the temple where it began. The school celebrated its 50th anniversary with new campus buildings around 2018–2019, following a major campus-rebuilding groundbreaking in February 2018. It sits near the boundary between Guishan District and New Taipei's Linkou District, close to the industrial zone, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, and National Taiwan University of Sport.

Temple roots beside a modern medical hub.
