Lanzhou Junior High School

Lanzhou Junior High was established on August 1, 1969, under founding principal Chen Jiaoping; its first students registered in Daqiao Elementary's auditorium before the school moved into the former Taipei Shilin Commercial School buildings. Its 24,836-square-meter campus sits in the older Dalongdong neighborhood, near the Confucius Temple, Bao'an Temple, the Yuanshan MRT station, and the Taipei Fine Arts Museum. The school added a science building and rear teaching block in 1979 and a swimming pool in 1986, and today runs bilingual and international-education programming — including foreign-teacher-led English classes and English-integrated technology and PE classes — alongside gifted English and athletics tracks approved starting in 2008. Lanzhou has been featured in Taiwanese media for turning around its reputation, reportedly reaching a 100% acceptance rate for exam-exempt high-school admissions under a past principal.

蘭州國中創校於民國58年（1969年）8月1日，首任校長為陳教平；首屆學生先在大橋國小禮堂報到，隨後遷入原台北市士林商職舊校舍上課。校地面積24,836平方公尺，位於較古老的大龍峒地區，鄰近孔廟、保安宮、圓山捷運站及台北市立美術館。民國68年（1979年）核准增建科學館與後棟教學大樓，民國75年（1986年）興建游泳池；如今學校推動雙語與國際教育課程——包括外籍教師授課的英語課，以及英語融入的科技與體育課程——並自97學年度（2008年）起設有英語資優班與體育班。蘭州國中曾獲台灣媒體（商業周刊）報導其口碑逆轉的故事，據報導在某任校長任內免試升學錄取率一度達到百分之百。
