Kunshan Elementary School

Kunshan Elementary is named after the neighboring "崑山里" (Kunshan Village), which itself is named for nearby Kun Shan University (崑山科技大學). The school's own materials describe it as growing over the decades from just 6 classes to more than 90, though an exact founding date could not be confirmed from available sources. The campus is known for a distinctive "田"-character (field-shaped) double-corridor classroom design, and the school states it has "not a single barred window" campus-wide — an intentional open-campus design choice. Unusually among Tainan's 170-plus elementary schools, Kunshan operates its own private educational foundation (財團法人文教基金會). Its "成德館" activity center includes a 198-seat international conference hall and four tennis courts, and the school was recognized as a top-performing school for oral/dental health education in the 2025 school year.
