Four settlements, one river, one small school.
Kuihui Elementary was founded on August 1, 1960. It sits at the 51.8 km marker of the Roma Highway (羅馬公路, Provincial Highway 118), right on the banks of the Dahan River, in a spot described as having especially scenic river views. Its catchment includes four Atayal settlements: Ksuno (嘎色鬧) and Upper, Middle, and Lower Kuihui. The school is small — about 6 classes, 64 students, and 32 staff — and its greeting and tagline, “Lokah ta kwara!”, is Atayal for roughly “Let's all be strong together!”
