Happy Elementary School

Happy Elementary began in 2003 as a branch campus of Hui-Ji Elementary, called "會稽國小快樂分校," and became an independent school in 2004. Its unusual name was chosen by student vote while it was still a branch campus — a rare origin story among Taiwan's public schools. One of the newest schools in Taoyuan District, it was created purely to absorb residential growth along Dayou Road, illustrating how the district's historic core has kept spinning off brand-new campuses as its population has continued to densify into the 21st century.

快樂國小前身為民國92年（2003年）設立的「會稽國小快樂分校」，於民國93年（2004年）獨立設校。其校名在仍為分校時期即由學生票選產生，在台灣公立學校中相當罕見。作為桃園區最年輕的學校之一，快樂國小的成立純粹是為了因應大有路一帶住宅人口成長，反映出桃園歷史核心區隨人口持續密集化，至21世紀仍不斷分出新校的發展軌跡。
