Wannei Elementary opened on April 20, 1953, as a branch of Renwu Elementary School, serving the village of Wannei — a name meaning "inside the bend," referencing a bend in a local waterway. In January 2022, the school relocated to a brand-new campus that combines childcare, kindergarten, and elementary facilities in one complex, serving around 354 students.

灣內國小創立於1953年(民國42年)4月20日,最初為仁武國小分校,服務「灣內」——意指水道彎曲之處——一帶的學童。2022年1月,學校遷入一座全新校園,將托嬰、幼兒園與國小整合於同一園區,目前約有354名學生。
